Anti-Christian Bigotry in the U.S. Senate

The Left has unleashed an unconstitutional religious inquisition on Christian judges.

Senator Durbin (IL-D) harassed one of President Trump’s judicial nominees for living out her Christian faith.  Senator Feinstein (CA-D) astoundingly attacked with the statement, “The dogma lives loudly within you.”  These Leftist Democrats questioned Professor Amy Barrett’s fitness to serve as a judge because of her ‘religious beliefs’ as a Christian.

Barrett is President Trump’s nominee to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.  She clerked for the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Scalia.  She is eminently qualified.  And she is a Christian.

This despicable kind of anti-Christian bigotry has no place in the nominative process.  Being a Christian should NEVER disqualify one from being a judge.  The U.S. Constitution is crystal clear: “No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office.”

Senators Feinstein and Durbin need to immediately apologize for their bigotry, and the Senate needs to vote on President Trump’s nomination of Professor Barrett.
